We partner with health care providers in our region to offer clinical rotation placements for health professions students. Our goal is to promote service in medically underserved areas and care for medically underserved individuals through exposure to these situations in a training environment. Service learning projects can also be developed for health professions students.
Apply for a mini-grant to fund a program which increases the exposure of health professions students to medically unserserved communities and promotes inter-professional education. See our minigrants page for details.
East Indiana AHEC works with regional college and university partners to develop Interprofessional Education opportunities so that health science students from a variety of professions can train collaboratively. See our IPE page for details.
East Indiana AHEC supports the Souteastern Indiana Simulation Consortium, a collaboration between seven academic sites and seven clinical sites in the region all working together to use simulation as a tool for innovative health care education and improved health care outcomes.
